Avon True Color Ultra-Hydrating Lip Color

Today I used this lipstick for the first time, after trying a sample and loving it. I got the Honey Flower shade, which is a lovely rosey pink shade. This lipstick has a gel formula that is lightweight and wax-free. The result is a hydrating lipstick that acts like a moisturising lip balm!

I'm super impressed with how moisturising it is! It feels like you've put on lip balm, but it's a creamy colour just like lipstick! It instantly hydrated my lips and made them look and feel smoother. I think this lipstick is amazing. So many times I've wanted to put a bit of lippy on, but I've avoided it because I didn't want my dry lips to ruin the look.

I recommend this to anyone who gets dry lips a lot but still wants to wear lipstick instead of just lip balm. And let's face it - all of us get dry lips in the winter time from exposure to heaters and air-conditioners. I know all my nurse friends don't get enough time to drink enough water while at work either, so we're always needing lip balm!

New Avon Mascara Review

True Color Wide Awake Mascara

This is the latest offering in mascara from Avon. It has a formula that is ophthalmologist tested, is ideal for those with sensitive eyes and contact wearers. This particular formula will not irritate you, and it's also easy to remove.

This immediately piqued my interest, as I wear contacts and do get sensitive to mascara. So I grabbed a demo to try out, and I'm very happy with it. 

It's very easy to apply, and not cakey or clumpy. It lengthens out your lashes, making them appear longer, and curls them too, for up to 8 hours. I haven't had any irritation whatsoever, and it is indeed easy to remove. This is important for me, as due to my keritoconus I must avoid rubbing my eyes, so I like makeup that's easy to remove. 

Overall, I think this mascara is a great everyday look if you don't want to look too dark. The name is perfect because it does make you look more awake, without making you look like you're wearing a tonne of makeup. 

I recommend this mascara for contact lense wearers, those with sensitive eyes, and those wanting a simple everyday mascara for your everyday makeup look.
